A gift to seek, to formulate

The questions I might ask

To make them deep

And make them true

A worthy life-long task

My honest questions function to

Reveal what I've assumed

Disclosing thought

Long since forgot

And deep within entombed.

What mystery waits in shadowed gates

My questions to discover

'Tis life itself

My treasured wealth

The God, the mirrored lover  

What depth of courage will it take

To see myself so real

The only task

Discard the mask

And my own face reveal
