May God fill our hearts with gratitude at this season of Thanksgiving.

May the creator remind us of the many blessings that have come to us and the many gifts that have been given through us.

May the life and teachings of Jesus help adjust our attitudes so that we will embrace the abundance of what we possess and the abundance of opportunities that are right in front of us.

May the Spirit that fills our lives, like breath fills our bodies, send us inward to experience life and outward to experience hope.

In this season many of us are experiencing fear because of the huge economic crisis in our world. May our faith challenge us, as we pull in to economize and live within our means, not to forget the needs of many people in the world today who are desperately trying just to survive.

Ultimately, none of us will find real security while any of us are struggling just to survive.

May the God of compassion and plenty multiply our faith to meet the needs around us especially during this season. Amen.
